Our students achieve so much in our five-week courses, here is a taster of the waltz which you will learn and be able to dance after just 1 course!
Why Our Beginner Dance Course for Adults
If you love Strictly Come Dancing, you'll enjoy this fun and welcoming beginners class where you will learn the basics of Ballroom dancing.
We welcome students who have never set foot on the dance floor as well as those who have completed some dance classes but are a bit rusty on the basic styles and techniques, or who have never tried Ballroom before.
Our number one aim in this class is to give you confidence.
Many of our students truly fall in love with Ballroom and go on to do exams and even complete more advanced classes.
Our highly skilled teachers won't leave you behind and care about your progression.
The absolute beginners blocks are rotated so depending on when you sign up, you'll be learning either the; Waltz and Cha Cha, Quickstep and Jive, Tango and Rumba, or Foxtrot and Samba. Our students love the variety and meeting fellow strictly fun dancing students.
Singles and couples welcome.

Why Our Advanced Dance Course
In this class we'll expand on the dances you learnt in the beginners classes so that you can feel even more confident as a social Ballroom dancer. You'll have fun learning lots of additional moves and become more confident in the dance styles. This class will be just as fun as the beginners' class and you'll love showing off your new dances on the floor.

Intermediate | 6-Week Course | £60
Intermediate Dance Class

Intermediate Class Just £36 per person month or £60 pay-as-you-go for the full six-week course
In this class, we are going to give you heaps of guidance on how to refine your technique for each of the dance styles, and we'll provide valuable insights into why certain techniques really work. We'll also start teaching new figures so you'll have even more steps to draw upon when you get out on the floor.
As with all of our other classes, our aim is to be positive and encouraging and give you confidence that you can do it.
If you want your social dancing to be even better or if you'd like to start considering exams, this class is for you. We hold exams in the studio and enjoy guiding students through exam preparation. We also provide one-to-one training outside this class for additional instruction.

Why Our Advanced-Pro Class
At Elite Dance, we've trained students from complete beginners to competition winners. We know it's possible.
This advanced class is all about training you for competitions so that you can become part of the glamorous world of dance.
Your teachers will be by your side and will gently guide you to improve your dancing to competition level.
We regularly accompany our competitive dancers to medal competitions. We also provide one-to-one training outside this class for additional instruction. We believe in our dancers and you'll love seeing your dancing really soar.

Positives to Adult Dance Classes
Our dance classes for adults have many benefits, we are always striving to bring you the very best fun-filled environment possible and with that in mind there comes many positives to to not only dancing but our dance classes in particular. Many of our pupils have a particular anffinity towards what we do and it's for good reason. The most important value Elite Dance has is to make sure that you as the pupil feel confident, welcome and successful when learning to dance. A super ethos supported by our wonderful team of teachers who are friendly and hard working makes for a great recipe we are proud of.
Some of the most clear positives to dancing are clear to see! Becoming more active through dance is one of the easiest ways to get the heart rate pumping and loosen up your limbs. You will notice that you are working your body but as dance is also a good brain workout and great fun you wont realise until the morning after when your legs may feel a little stiff. Besides getting active, there are many social benefits to dance. At elite dance we encourage social a atmosphere where teachers and pupils can all learn and laugh together by creating a relaxed feeling, but let that lead you to believe we don't get down to business!

Adult Dance Class FAQ's
Do I need a partner to dance?
No, solo dancers are very welcome, most of the learning in our classes is solo. Our teachers are also happy to dance with you.
What style of dance do you teach?
We Ballroom and Latin American dancing in our classes. We also offer other styles of dance in one-to-one lessons.
What footwear do I need to wear?
We recommend dance shoes but if you don’t have any flat comfortable shoes are best.
Are beginners welcome in your classes?
Yes, we hold an adult’s beginner dance class on Mondays where we teach an introduction to Ballroom and Latin American dancing.
Do you have classes for experienced dancers?
Yes, we hold our intermediate class on Wednesday evenings for more advanced dancers. we teach higher level routines and technique in these classes.
Do you hold classes for competitors?
Yes, we hold a competitor’s class on Mondays at Hylands school, starting 5:30pm.
What does a dance class cost?
Our dance class is £40 for our 5-week courses
How many people are in a dance class?
We currently have 16 spaces available on each dance course.
